GOLD Coast Titans playmaker Mat Rogers is confident he'll have no case to answer over his lifting tackle on Parramatta's Luke Burt on Friday night.

Rogers was placed on report after upending the Eels fullback in a 32nd-minute incident sure to be scrutinised by the match review committee.

However, the former Wallaby is confident he'll be free to take on the Broncos in Friday night's blockbuster at Skilled Park.

"It was just a couple of lightweights, a couple of little fellas trying to hurt each other, which doesn't really work," Rogers quipped.

"I spoke to him after the game, apologised, and hopefully that's it."

Burt also didn't expect the matter to go any further.

"I didn't get hurt so I don't think it's a big deal," he said.

Titans coach John Cartwright added: "I'd have to check it. He went up beyond the horizontal but I saw a few last week that didn't look any different to that one ... it didn't look overly bad."
