GOLD COAST playmaker Mat Rogers is confident he'll have no case to answer over his lifting tackle on Luke Burt on Friday night.

Rogers was placed on report after upending the Eels fullback in a 32nd-minute incident sure to be scrutinised by the match review committee.

However, the dual international is confident he'll be free to take on the Broncos in Friday night's blockbuster at Skilled Park.

"It was just a couple of lightweights, a couple of little fellas trying to hurt each other," Rogers said. "I apologised after the game."

Burt also didn't expect the matter to go any further. "I didn't get hurt so I don't think it's a big deal," he said.

Titans coach John Cartwright added: "He went up beyond the horizontal but I saw a few last week that didn't look any different. It didn't look overly bad."
